Biography
Training
Brian J. Abraham attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning Bachelor of Science Degrees in Medical Informatics and Information Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Boston University in 2013. His dissertation research was performed in the laboratory of Dr. Keji Zhao at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health. After graduation, he joined the laboratory of Dr. Richard A. Young at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research at MIT.
Independent Laboratory
Dr. Abraham joined the faculty of the Department of Computational Biology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 2019. He currently leads a collaborative, interdisciplinary research program studying multiple aspects of gene regulatory biology and how fundamental regulatory mechanisms are altered in diseases.
